There is a reference to the informal gestural expressiveness of dripping: the dripping of the colour from the paintbrush which, suspended in the air,draws the stroke without touching the canvas. However, the resemblance is only apparent as the result is not a representational work: in fact we can clearly notice two couples, the one on the left is caught in a plastic attitude of a casché, while the other, more hesitating than the first is getting ready to dance.
